Hand Pollinating Corn - Gardening How-To Video Series | Kearsarge Food Hub

Hand Pollinating Corn on Baby Beet Farm! If you’re growing corn in your garden, maybe as part of the Abenaki Seeds Project here in the Kearsarge area, you’ll want to hand-pollinate for the best chance of growing kernels.

Julie and Hanna stand in for Leon in our summer gardening video series to try this out for the first time!

The window for doing this is short for best results, about 10-14 days after the silks come out. So! You might be a little late in doing this if you haven’t already, like we were, but it’s worth a shot and good information as you plan for next season!
