Tray it Forward

Designed to help grow more gardeners in the Kearsarge region, the Tray it Forward program provides community-sponsored seedling trays to community members free of charge. 

In addition, FEED Kearsarge and other community partners provide gardening supplies, education resources, and community-building opportunities to help gardeners connect and cultivate a successful growing season.

The Tray it Forward program is a FEED Kearsarge initiative serving Andover, Bradford, Danbury, Newbury, New London, Springfield, Sunapee, Sutton, Warner, and Wilmot.

Each spring on Tray Delivery Day, the Tray it Forward program provides thousands of free seedlings to individuals, community gardens, and food pantries in the Kearsarge area.

The Tray it Forward Program began in 2020 as a collaborative way to build community, share gardening education, and grow more food. This was really in response to the COVID pandemic and the struggles we were facing as a community, like difficulty accessing food and strained supply chains.

We launched the Tray it Forward program to distribute seedling trays to families in need, followed by gardening education to help folks reclaim the knowledge of how to grow their own food and connect with nature and community through gardening.
