Community Rallies to Support Sweet Beet post-fire

Since the fire that broke out at 11 West Main Street in mid-February rendered Sweet Beet Kitchen temporarily closed, the community has rallied to help keep our services going strong and it’s positively uplifting!

Check out the Concord Monitor Article here or read our first blog post here for more on the fire.

Blue Loon Bakery in New London bakes delicious breads of all kinds and makes yummy sandwiches, soups, quiche, and more. Find their goodies at Sweet Beet on the weekends while our kitchen is closed!

Blue Loon Bakery in New London reached out immediately after the fire to offer support and ended up sending over pastries, sandwiches, quiche and soups to satisfy customers the first weekend after the fire. They have committed to continuing to provide goods as long as needed and we’re all so grateful to have this source of prepared meals while our kitchen is temporarily closed!

Any meals that customers don’t buy over the weekend (that are still perfectly good to eat) will make their way into our Community FREEdge for someone to grab when they need a hand.

We extended our deepest gratitude to the many, many other local businesses, food system partners, customers, and community members who have reached out to offer support and well wishes.

And certainly thank you to our amazing customers for continuing to shop local with us at Sweet Beet. To say show our gratitude, we have an ongoing Customer Loyalty Program AND March is Customer Appreciation Month so you can check out that special offer right here!

And finally, shout out to our incredible team for responding with such care and energy to this unforeseen event, working behind the scenes to get everything cleaned and back up and running in Sweet Beet Market just one day after the fire!

We're taking every necessary step to ensure Sweet Beet Café is up and running as soon as possible, collaborating with our generous partners to make sure our customers and clients can still find the local foods they rely on here at Sweet Beet. In the meantime, find Blue Loon Bakery baked goods and meals on the weekends, hot coffee from Witching Hour Provisions, and so many other great local products and groceries from our 250+ partnering food vendors in Sweet Beet Market.

The community room is partially open for seating still and we welcome your smiling faces at Sweet Beet during our winter hours! Weds-Fri 11am-5pm and Sat-Sun 9am-4pm.

Follow along with us for current information as things unfold as we continue to navigate the situation together! From all the Sweet Beets, we thank you for your ongoing support and for shopping LOCAL!!
